On August 12, 2000, vAzhé held a special evening,
following the death of Ahmad Shamlou,one of Iran's famous poets.
Sandra Martin of Pen Canada delivered a message of condolence,
Dr Braheni and Sirak Melkonian shared their memories of the poet with the audience.
Other contributors were: Sasan Ghahraman, Behruz Sima'i, Samsam Kashfi, Mahmood
Goudarzi, Dona robati, Hassan Zerehi, Hosein Zarasvand, Bahram Bahrami and Maryam Ghara'i.
Susan and Hosein Sho'ai-Nia contributed with their music.
